The device for measuring the depth of the undercut is designed for visual and measuring control of the base material and welded joints in the manufacture, construction, installation, repair, reconstruction, operation, technical diagnostics of devices and structures used and operated at hazardous production facilities.

The device allows to carry out measuring control:

• geometric dimensions of the welded joint,
• structural elements of welded seams,
• geometric position of axes or surfaces of welded parts,
• recesses between the rollers and scaly surface of the seam,
• convexity and concavity of the root of unilateral sutures.

The device is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of RD 03-606-03 "Instruction for visual and measuring control" and allows you to control the depth of undercutting of the base metal, incomplete filling of the groove.

The device for measuring the depth of undercut includes:

• The indicator "0-10" with a rotary scale.
• Support bracket.
• Measuring needle.
