GOST 11262-2017 applies to plastics and establishes a method and conditions for determining the tensile properties of plastics, taking into account the general principles established in GOST 34370. Applies to the following materials:
The standard does not apply to rigid and elastic cellular plastics, for which the methods established by GOST 17370 and GOST 15873, respectively, are used, as well as multilayer structures containing cellular material. Also does not apply to films with a thickness of less than 1 mm (see GOST 14236).
GOST 11262-2017 provides for the use of samples that are manufactured by molding methods in accordance with specified dimensions, machining, or cut (punched out) by a stamp from plates obtained by injection molding or pressing, finished products or semi-finished products. It is recommended to use multipurpose test specimens in accordance with GOST 33693.
