The groove sensitivity standard Fe No. 13 of our own production, at the customer's choice, can be supplied in two types: with and without calibration.
Purpose:
Groove sensitivity standard No. 13 for determining the relative sensitivity of radiographic testing according to GOST 7512-82. Material: Fe (steel).
The standard is a plate with ideal defects, the contours of which are sharply defined. At the border of defects in the standard, the total thickness of the translucent material changes sharply, while in a real metal there is a gradual change in its thickness at the border between a defect and a defect-free zone. In addition, real defects are often dispersed and have irregular outlines. As a result, pores or slag inclusions, the diameters of which are equal, respectively, to the height of the slot or the diameter of the standard wire, may not be detected, despite the fact that images of artificial defects are clearly visible.
Groove depth: 1.5; 2.0; 2.5; 3.0; 3.5; 4.0 mm.
